A Coal Dust Town
Coal money created Roslyn, coal to feed the appetites of the railroads, who at the turn of the century, were devouring the west. The houses here were seldom painted, the coal dust turned them black. Many had shacks in the back where you washed up before entering.
The church on the hill, the tin roofs, the company store - time has changed Roslyn little.
